Improving city sanitation
With the help of real-time data and accurate maps
In urban India, serious sanitation problems will soon affect more than 100 million people, most of them in poor communities and slums. In Maharashtra alone, more than 11 million people are affected. Sanitation is a major problem, but it is symptomatic of larger and more prevalent issues associated with insufficient infrastructure. Shelter Associates, a Civil Society Organization, aims to provide safer and cleaner environments to these less fortunate communities and provide them with access to basic services like water, sanitation, and electricity. To make this possible, Shelter Associates chose Hexagon geospatial technology to help build a city sanitation plan.
